In 2022 I participated in a three-month residency at USF Verftet in Bergen, Norway where I undertook a large-scale quilting project. Following the thread laid bare by a pop cultural influencer in the mythology, I explored the potential of quilting as a form of storytelling. I see the quilts as hybrid statements, crossing over with fashion and experimental textiles. I was invited back to Bergen in 2023 for a second residency and installed the exhibition“The Immaculate Collection” which featured textiles, sculpture and video.
