In this body of work I explore the influence of a pop cultural influencer in the mythology, loosely based on Billie Eilish. I started imagining the kinds of body adornments and accessories this character might don and used her 2021 album “Happier Than Ever” and the accompanying promotional materials as inspiration for the making of these objects. This series features strange handbags, jewelry, androgynous garments and other accessories. I see the emergence of this fashion icon as representing a distinct new evolutionary step in the mythology.
